Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Central Business Office Associate, who is responsible for coordinating/processing several operational activities in the ITS department. The Central Business Office (CBO) serves as the hub for all ITS finance and operations. The CBO Associate is an essential member of the team and interacts with multiple departments across the university, including Accounting, Asset Management, Facilities, Human Resources, and Purchasing. The successful candidate enjoys a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and getting out of the office to visit various locations on campus for equipment deliveries and receiving/disposal of assets. This entry-level position provides excellent opportunities for professional growth.
The successful candidate is extremely organized, has an eagerness to learn, and a strong attention to detail, with the ability to point out errors or inconsistencies in data. They are encouraged to think about process improvements, leveraging the various tools available. They will conduct their work with a high degree of integrity and a customer service mindset. The CBO Associate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge collaborative relationships. They are equally comfortable working with limited supervision or with a team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Software Licensing:
- Review and respond to software license requests from faculty/staff/students.
- Distribute licenses in accordance with University and ITS policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of software purchases, activation codes, distribution/assignment of software licenses, and chargebacks to departments.
Billing:
- Process monthly billing for ITS activities and track receipt of payments.
- Investigate any discrepancies in revenue.
Asset Management:
- Work collaboratively across ITS to ensure accurate asset management needs and processes are fulfilled in a timely matter.
- Ensure all purchases have the appropriate Asset Management forms/tags when received and disposed of.
- Record accurate information in the Asset Management database, including the addition and removal of assets.
Additional/Other Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with staff from ITS and other departments on campus to facilitate transactions for all Central Business Office activities.
- Serve as a backup for coverage of reception area.
- Perform all operations in compliance with SUNY and New York State financial / procurement policies.
- Handle confidential information and matters in a professional manner.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Be available to provide scheduled support and consultation outside normal business hours, including occasional evenings, holidays, or weekends, within reasonable professional obligation and expectation.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- An associate degree at time of hire from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, with ability to identify errors in tracking sheets, etc.
- Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to Agency and other governing bodies (LDSS, OCFS, CSE, etc.) standards and requirements for adolescent clients who are emotionally disturbed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the units.
Develop and maintain schedules within the assigned campus residential unit, ensuring that there is adequate staff to meet regulatory requirements and safety requirements.
Responsible to ensure that youth in our care are being supervised according to regulatory and programmatic standards.
Design, implement and supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plans.
Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.

Participate in the interviewing and selection of new staff members.
Participate in the training of residential staff.
Conduct residential staff meetings.
Participate in the evaluation of youth referred to the Agency for residential care.
Conduct the financial activity of the residential unit in accordance with guidelines established by the Residential Program Manager and the Director.
Responsible for managing program funds, purchasing food, clothing, household supplies, managing youth allowances
Participate/organize program and agency wide special events and services.
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food (cooking when necessary), medical care, a reliable and nurturing environment.

Job Summary | The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Job Summary | The Director of the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship (the “Severino Center”) will work with the Assistant Vice President, RPIVentures (“RPIV”) and the Vice President, Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (“OSAT”) in shaping and advancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem at RPI and the region. In collaboration with RPIV, they will develop a strategic vision for the Severino Center, aligning it with the Institute’s priorities and entrepreneurship programs. Job Summary | The Economic and Industry Analyst will analyze and make recommendations for progress of the sustainable fashion industry, from farms and new materials to processing to brands and design, in New York State and in general (in the U.S. and worldwide). The Analyst will review and keep abreast of pertinent studies and research, and will seek information from industry data sources, carry out interviews and surveys, and analyze and interpret the information. The work is based at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of the Fashion Innovation Center (FIC). The Analyst will interact with FIC members and participants to learn about the industry, discuss sustainable fashion industry problems and potential solutions, consider ways to advance the industry in New York State, and document relevant information and findings in report, paper, and/or book form. The Analyst will also provide suggestions where relevant to innovative project participants in the FIC’s accelerator. The Analyst will work closely with the Center Director and other FIC members. |
Minimum Qualifications | Doctorate (ex: Ph.D./J.D./Ed.D. or other) in Economics, Management, or a related field Experience in economics and/or management including research study design and interpretation, econometric and statistical analysis, and data collection. Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered. |
Preferred Qualifications | • Knowledge and experience specific to fashion, textile manufacture and processing, new materials, and/or fiber agriculture desirable |
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other employees, faculty, and students in the campus community, and with FIC members and participants from industry and other backgrounds |

Job Summary | The Sr. Business Manager reports to the Vice President of Information Services and Technology, and Chief Information Officer. This role is responsible for managing the business and financial operations of the portfolio including finance, budget, personnel, space and facilities planning, and oversight of all fiscal and operating protocols. The Sr. Business Manager will supervise and serve as a resource to department level business staff to ensure consistent practices that comply with Institute and Portfolio guidelines. Actively participate in the short and long range financial and performance planning of the school and lead the development of training for business staff. Represent the portfolio on business affairs to the Rensselaer Community and act as a central point of contact for the Division of the Chief Information Officer (DotCIO). |

Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. The Director is responsible for leading real estate and economic development programs to attract diverse and innovative partners to engage on properties owned by the Institution both residential and commercial, inclusive of properties at Rensselaer Technology Park (RTP). This will comprise extensive collaboration with multiple portfolios including the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (OSAT), Provost, Student Life, OCEC, and Finance. The Director is responsible to develop programs to attract and maintain tenant occupants of RTP and create a self-funded real estate program. Programs that cultivate community and regional relationships and foster an exchange of ideas between community leaders, industry partners, researchers and students. The Director is responsible for all fiscal management of the RTP and real estate program including operating and capital budget development and financial controls to achieve goals. |
